Educational Philosophy
Students learn best through active and challenging learning opportunities (individual or collaborative) and being able to make the connection that efforts are directly related to achievement. Students have the best learning experiences when their teacher has a well-planned lesson that includes guided practice. I also believe that students build their knowledge base by connecting their classroom learning to real-world application.

Students learn to be creative through skill-building and guided practice. Students have their best learning experiences when they are able to articulate their personal opinions through the study of art. The use of art as expression enables students to use the creative process to build on ideas, collaborate with peers, and make social commentaries about current cultures.

Educational Philosophy
I believe students foster learning when they can investigate and solve their questions and apply their new knowledge. I maintain a positive, structured learning environment by upholding high academic, social, and civic expectations; meeting these standards is delivered through an inquiry based approach and real-world projects. All students have the ability to learn, care, and achieve. When students are provided a structured learning environment that promotes student interest and develops student talent then the school thrives.
